The excavations at Lismullen have begun, and once they have been completed the site will be destroyed. Protesters are there, but have been threatened with arrest by the Gardaí if they attempt to interfere with the works.

The excavation of Lismullen henge is begun. The next step will be its destruction. Please write to your local TD and/or government ministers as well as the media in your area to protest this action before it is too late. The Tara Foundation is preparing a position paper and considering our options for action.
